East Coast She Crab Soup Classic

The Annual East Coast She Crab Soup Classic, presented by ECPI University's Culinary Institute of Virginia, is a ticketed event and returns to 24th Street Park at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. The event is always fun for the entire family. An open competition among local restaurants, the soup classic focuses on one of the region’s most-loved seafood delicacies. This highly identifiable cuisine has been a staple of area menus for decades. Who doesn't love the rich, creamy taste of homemade She-Crab Soup... the "taste of the south"! 

Restaurants serve their individual recipes and compete for People’s Choice Awards, determined by the ballots of those attending.  Critic’s Choice Awards also are given by a panel of four leading regional cuisine experts.

A limited number of tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.

Ticket pricing: $17.50 (plus $1 service fee) in advance; $25 (plus $1 service fee) day of show if tickets are available.

Children 12 and younger who are not sampling and are accompanied by an adult are free. Dogs and beach chairs are not permitted in the tasting area.  The event will be held, rain or shine.

Save the Date for the Cherry Blossom Festival at Red Wing Park! This annual festival celebrates the goodwill between the US and Japan and specifically, the sister cities of Virginia Beach, VA and Miyazaki City, Japan.

Peace Monument

Come out for FREE family fun from Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation with music, dance, art and martial arts demonstrations in the park. You are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair for relaxing during the performances. There will also be crafts for the kids. 

The Peace Monument at Red Wing Park is constructed of a 30,000 lb. boulder extracted out of the deep mountains of Tennessee. This nine foot high monument symbolizes the spiritual serenity of nature and the eternal prayer for world peace, harmony and prosperity as evidence by the Sister City relationship between Miyazaki City, Japan and the City of Virginia Beach since 1992.

Siebert Realty has a long history of closing our office doors for a few days to hold our annual company seminar.  

We love our seminars as it gives us a better understanding of how to improve our company, as well as our own attitudes, in a fun and creative way!

Each year, our managers plan the event in secret and surprise our staff with a fun theme... whether Viva Las Vegas, Dude Ranch, Disney, Super Heroes, Pirates of the Caribbean, Survivor, and much more. The learning sessions are always educational, but with a light-hearted twist and use of wording towards our theme. 

Dividing the employees into groups is a great way to instill teamwork. Our staff learns to work together in problem solving exercises, as well as competing in various games (many on the beach), and it's also a great way to introduce members of different departments to each other... as many don't normally work together on a daily basis. Example: Accounting... working closely with members of the Maintenance Department. 

Team building generates a better understanding and mindfulness of the company as a whole and of other members' responsibilities within the company. Our annual seminars are not only educational, but FUN as we strongly believe having FUN on the job makes us more creative, more productive, and ultimately more satisfied. But the fun goes much deeper – it’s in having a positive attitude, in accomplishments, and in bringing passion to work every single day. Moreover, our customers benefit from our renewed SMILES... whether on the phone or in person, and that's always good for the "bottom line"!
