Cirque du Soleil comes to Va Beach!

The Canadian entertainment company is set to perform here at the beach July 16 to Aug. 16 in the parking lot of the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
"Kooza" is touring Europe. Cirque du Soleil's tightrope-walking and flying trapeze acts have wowed audiences around the world and, locally, at Hampton Coliseum and Norfolk's Ted Constant Convocation Center. Now, Virginia Beach will get its first taste of the excitement during the heart of the summer tourist season.
"We always look for additional amenities for our visitors," said Mike Eason, resort administrator. He first reached out to Cirque du Soleil a couple of years ago. When Eason got a call from them last month, he suggested Rudee Loop as a possible venue. Cirquesa Dreamquest, a smaller acrobatic troupe, performed at that site two years ago. But he soon learned that Cirque du Soleil requires much more space. "This is a big operation," he said. The convention center parking lot will accommodate the 50 tractor-trailer loads of equipment needed to set up the show. The circus tent will hold 2,500 attendees.

KOOZA tells the story of The Innocent, a melancholy loner in search of his place in the world. This show is a return to the origins of Cirque du Soleil: It combines two circus traditions - acrobatic performance and the art of clowning. The show highlights the physical demands of human performance in all its splendor and fragility, presented in a colorful mélange that emphasizes bold slapstick humor.
The Innocent's journey brings him into contact with a panoply of comic characters such as the King, the Trickster and the Obnoxious Tourist and his Bad Dog.
Between strength and fragility, laughter and smiles, turmoil and harmony, KOOZA explores themes of fear, identity, recognition and power. The show is set in an electrifying and exotic visual world full of surprises, thrills, chills, audacity and total involvement.

I came to know about this circus from my friend who has already seen it before and it seems to be awesome. Anyway, I am new to the area and it will be great if you can share the exact location of the venues for events.
