2014 Summer Fireworks!

After a relaxing day at Sandbridge Beach, why not gather up the family and head to the Boardwalk for a spectacular fireworks display.  From the rockets' red glare to the star-spangled sky, our oceanfront makes an awe-inspiring backdrop for summer fireworks.  Twice a week this time of year (Wednesdays and Sundays), the Virginia Beach night skies come alive... in a big way!   

The fireworks celebration began June 27th and will continue throughout the entire summer and into October.  Don't miss the rare chance to wiggle your toes in the sand as the aerial excitement lights the sky - it's a blast!

As always, our city provides these firework displays FREE OF CHARGE to the public and are launched from a barge off the beach at 20th street, giving you a great view from anywhere along the Boardwalk.

As you may already know, Sandbridge Beach has their own fireworks display every July 4th, which are always a "must see"! For all other weeks, the Boardwalk, which is just 20 minutes away, is the place to be for pyrotechnics.

The Boardwalk fireworks schedule above is subject to change and may be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unsafe water conditions.  Please visit beachstreetusa.com for an up-to-date schedule.   As always, please keep pets safe inside during fireworks.
