11th Annual Virginia Arts Festival

With venues throughout the 50-mile region, extending from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach, the Virginia Arts Festival hosts top-flight artists from around the world in classical music, dance, theater, world music and jazz, along with the annual Chamber Music series, led by André-Michel Schub. The Virginia International Tattoo, a signature festival event, features more than 850 performers, including military bands, massed pipes and drums, dancers, acrobats, and more. Remember the Music - Remember the Heroes

Spend Memorial Weekend at the Virginia Beach oceanfront for this special tribute to our military heroes! It's a Star-Spangled Spectacular as bands from our Armed Forces perform throughout the weekend on stages under the stars. Travel the "Heroes Walk" and immerse yourself in the history of our nation's involvement in military endeavors throughout history. Big Bands at the Cavalier

Get out your dancin' shoes and get ready to jitterbug 'cause the glory days of the Cavalier Beach Club are coming back! We've lined up some of the best bands around for your listening and dancing pleasure. And there's no place better than here to strut your stuff. From the 30's through the 50's, the likes of Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, and Xavier Cougar made the oceanfront rock, and we're out to do it again! Retro swing kings Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will jumpstart the action. This septet's hip lyrics, sashaying sax, and hot horns are infused with some tasty New Orleans Blues. 24th Annual Pungo Strawberry Festival

All the strawberries you can eat prepared in over 50 different ways is the festival highlight, but activities will also include a pie-eating contest, several racing car exhibits, one of the largest carnivals on the east coast, continuous entertainment on four stages, a parade, livestock sale and show, a military display, pig races, youth art show, and some of the most unique arts and crafts exhibited on the east coast. Patriotic Festival
A Celebration of our Military

This Memorial Day the Hampton Roads region will remember the men and women of the U.S. military for their heroism and sacrifices. This event is a tribute to our armed forces personnel and their families. The Patriotic Festival will feature top-name musical entertainment, military displays and demonstrations. America's most popular artists have performed at the Patriotic Festival, such as Rascal Flatts, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Carrie Underwood, Michael McDonald, Sinbad, Wayne Newton. Va. 5th Annual Latin Festival

There's more than just fun in the sun at this unique "Latin-flavored" event featuring good food, dancing, and great music! Dance to the beat of salsa, merengue, mambo, and bachata tunes presented by some of the best national, regional and local acts. 52nd Annual Boardwalk Art Show and Festival

The Boardwalk Art Show & Festival is one of the oldest and largest outdoor fine art shows on the Eastern Seaboard. Produced by the Contemporary Art Center, it is ranked as one of the top 15 fine art shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine. Viva Elvis and Legends of Rock 'N' Roll

Let your inner Elvis® come out at this crazy weekend where the “King” is joined by some of his friends for an entire weekend of great music and fun events.
